Jury finds AF chiropractor guilty on 2 counts, not guilty on 4

A jury in American Fork has found chiropractor Grant Joel Hildreth guilty on two counts of forcible sexual abuse abuse relating to a former employee, and not guilty on four counts of forcible sexual abuse relating to three former patients.

The jury deliberated for hours Monday, going home without a verdict at 9 p.m. Monday. They returned to court Tuesday morning and announced their decision after 11 a.m.

Hildreth's sentencing is scheduled for May 2.

The former employee testified that in May 2007, she mentioned to Hildreth that she had a bladder infection and he offered to examine it for her. After examining her vaginal area, Hildreth applied an antibiotic gel he said would treat the infection. She took the gel home with her, but the next time he examined her, he applied the gel himself again while fondling her vaginal area and breasts, she testified.
